Quick Fix: Restoring Your WhatsApp on Android to Normal Mode
To begin the restoration process, open a web browser on your computer and visit web.whatsapp.com. You will see a QR code on the webpage.
Next, open WhatsApp on your Android device and tap on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner. From the dropdown menu, select “WhatsApp Web.” This will activate your device’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on the web page.
Once you have successfully logged into WhatsApp Web, you may notice a message with the ‘wa.me/settings’ link. This is the culprit causing the abnormal behavior of your WhatsApp. Simply delete this message from your chat history.
After deleting the ‘wa.me/settings’ message, you should find that your WhatsApp returns to normal operation. The freezing, unresponsiveness, or crashes you were experiencing should no longer persist.
